This weeks Parshah is Nasso. In this weeks Parshah we learn the laws of the Nazir a man who separates himself from wine does not cut his hair in an effort to connect to Hashem. Yet while the Torah commends his efforts he is also instructed that when his sworn term as Nazir is over he must bring a sin offering to apologize for not using the gift of wine G-d gave him.

Surely a man who reject the world in order to gain a more spiritual existence is not to be punished but rather to be praised. this would seem to be an act of piety and devotion. furthermore does this mean that one should overindulge or try forbidden foods and pleasure or risk the wrath of G-d for deny himself one of His gifts?

The lesson is that while separating form the world and sitting cross-legged on a mountain top or as a hermit in the woods or rejecting wine, and meat, marriage, and any item The Almighty intended for us to use may be an extremely spiritual and pious lifestyle but it is definitely not a Jewish one. We are not a people that reject the world as unholy we are the people that elevate the world so it became holy so it becomes worthy of being G-ds resting place.

While this certainly does not allow Any forbidden desires or to advise gluttony of any kind we have a duty to elevate any permissible item into a G-dly one. This is done through Making a Brocha or any way of using an item for Hashem.

May we soon see the day where our efforts are rewarded and this entire world becomes a place of holiness and Kedushah with the Holy One Blessed Be He’s presence is directly felt with the coming of Moshiach.

On this note I invite you all to join me in lifting your glass be it filled with wine or Mashka say a Bracha and wish a Lechayim to Yossi Weiss and Meir Roetter my brothers by choice and wish them only happiness in life. May each of their weddings be celebrated in a good time and may they both have nothing but brachos and may we soon all celebrate together in Yerushlayim with Moshaich.

This weeks Parshah is Emor. In this week’s Parshah we discuss the Kohen going out among the people inspiring and teaching them. However the Kohen is warned when you go out among the people do not become unpurified. But how can a Kohen who job is setting Jews on the right path and keeping them from sin become impure on the job?

The Kohen is given a very difficult job. The Kohen must set out to chastise his brother who is sinning and correct him setting him on the proper path. But the Torah is warning him of the delicate line he walks. Speak to a man with love as a servant of Hashem and there is nothing you cannot accomplish. But speak to him and condemn him as beneath you and it is you who become impure.

The lesson is timeless for all Jews in all stations of life. When you see you fellow who is not on the proper path it is your duty to do whatever you can to help him. However make sure when you set out make sure you are coming from a place of love, acceptance and desire to help your friend. Otherwise you have no chance of helping and are only joining him on his path.

May we soon see the day where The Holy One Blessed Be He walks through his land and sets on the right path because of his love fore us with the coming of Moshiach. Amen

This weeks Thought is Dedicated to the the Soldiers we do whatever needs to be done to allows other to live in freedom. May Hashem Bless them all bring them all home safe and continue to rain his vengeance upon the evil of the world. Amen

This weeks Parshah is Kedoshim. The Parshah begins will a Mitzvah that is fundamental to our religion- Be Holy. Hashem asks us to walk in his path to follow his ways and to lead our friend’s neighbors and even complete strangers to join us. This Parshah is filled with Mitzvos like forbidden relations, loving you fellow Jew, respecting your parents and judging people favorably.

The reason for this is Hashem is not asking us to for impossible goals. He does not want us to fast and pray all day to connect with Him. G-d loves each and every one of us and there is absolutely nothing we can do about it. The Almighty actively pursues a relationship with us and we need but show a sign. The mitzvos He gives us here are easy ways to strengthen our connection to him and integral parts of becoming a good person.

Yet why would The Holy One Blessed Be He but more lofty Mitzvos in this week’s Parshah? Why surround this amazing opportunity with such basic tasks?

G-d is giving us an amazing lesson. Don’t pray all day and fast in the synagogue but when you leave become a different person. Start form the bottom. Work on your character building up basic morals and the rest will follow. Show respect for your parents and listen to their wisdom. Love your fellow as your self and look out for their benefit as you do your own. Do these seemingly simple tasks and see if you entire life from outlook to attitude to actions does not have an incredible change for the positive. For these actions will make into a person that can attempt to walk in Hashem’s Path as one of his Holy ones

May we soon see the when we are all walk in Hashem’s ways and all hood his words with the coming f Moshiach Bekorrov Mammash. Amen

This week’s thought is dedicated to Adom and Joy. May Hashem grant them every conceivable blessing in an open and kind manner and may we soon be together in yerushalayim with Moshiach. Amen

This weeks Parshah is Achari Mos. In the Parshah we discuss the High Priest’s service on Yom kipper. This service atoned for all men and was given in the holiest room in the Temple. However the Kohen Godol did not where his special garments of gold and jewels but rather dressed in symbol white like any other Kohen.

The purpose of the Kohen Godol’s gold Garments were to separate him from all other to a position of honor and respect. And when the High Priest offered the one sacrifice that only he could with the intention to include all Jews he removed this Garment not despite its status but because of it. If someone wants to help another person no matter his station he must first approach the task in the right way. If you try to help from to gain honor, respect, or recognition the help you give has lesser value. First you must remove both mentally and physically all pride and then you can truly help your fellow man, to the point of erasing his sins.

This is similar to cleaning for Pesach where we not only remove any leaven items from our home but must remove any leaven or prideful feelings from our hearts and minds and only then are we able to go beyond our personal slavery our limitations and be redeemed like our ancestors.

May we soon see the day where all of our sins are forgiven and we can again physically see the Leader of our generation the Rebbe in the third temple with the Final Redemption. Amen

This week’s thought is dedicated to our Nosi Hador the Rebbe whose birthday is today. May we all be successful on bringing him true Nachas and satisfaction and be rewarding by being united with all of our loved ones with the Final redemption in time to celebrate Pesach with its proper Sacrifice in the Temple in Jerusalem. Amen

This week’s Parshah is Metzora. We discuss the rituals of how to purify yourself and rejoin the people. In these rituals we find an amazing concept. A man helps another man become purified before G-d. Furthermore The first man while doing so becomes impure himself.

This is an astounding idea. Two finite men can control each others spiritual connection to the infinite Creator. This is a reflection of the amazing connection between all Jews. Not only do we have a collective destiny, but we are so united that we can actually change each others spiritual status.

We must always remember all Jews are a single unit. We swim or float as a nation, one man with one heart, and one voice. And although one of us might falter form the path at one time or another it is the collective merit that saves us. On the other hand it is each one of our duties to watch out for our fellow Jews to help and encourage them to stay on G-ds path.

May we soon see the day when we all stand together physically and Hashem forgives all of our sins and we all return to our land with the coming of Moshaich.

This Weeks thought is dedicated to our Nosi the Rebbe Melech Hamoshaich whose 110th Birthday is this coming Friday for over 61 years of Tireless leadership and total devotion to his Shluchim, his Chasidim, and all of Klal Yisroel. May we soon once again hear Torah from His mouth with the coming of Moshaich Bekorov Mammash. Amen

This week’s Parshah is Tazria. As we know there is a link between each Parshah and the one preceding and following it. The link between our Parshah and next week’s Parshah of Metzorah is simple as they both speak about a person who speaks Loshon Hara and is punished with a spiritual malady similar to leprosy. However last week’s Parshah speaks about the laws of kosher animals and the connection seems odd.

Jews have always taken pride in Kosher. For some that mean Cholov Yisroel, and for some it means Glatt meat. For some it’s just keeping Kosher within the home and for some it might just mean gefilta fish or kosher pickles. Yet even if it is just for Pesach or even if it’s just an added bonus, Kosher has always been an important part of our culture.

We are all very careful watching what goes into our mouth but many are lax when regarding what leaves it. The Torah compares embarrassing someone to murder and a word of gossip to a warrior’s arrow that once fired can never be undone that can hurt someone even if they are at a distance. The sages teach us that Loshon Hara hurts three people; the one who says it, the one who hears it, and the one it is said about.

We must all remember that our bodies are not ours but they are Hashem’s and He gave them to us as a gift. Just as we must be strict with what we let into our bodies, we must be strict with what we put out into the world. Hashem created teeth and lips providing two guards for our mouths, and we must strive to speak in a manner befitting G-d’s children.

May we soon see the day when no evil word is spoken and all mankind will join together and state proudly together, “Hashem G-d is King and His dominion rules over all” with the coming of Moshiach. Amen

This week’s Thought is dedicated to Clara Bracha and Shloimy. May you guys Have many happy and healthy years together and may we soon see the day when we are all together in Eretz Yisroel with the coming of Moshaich. Amen

This week is Parshah Shemini. In the Parshah following the death of two of Aaorns sons Moshe orders two High ranking Levites to remove their bodies from the camp. It would seem this is a job better suited for men of lesser importance.

Moshe Is teaching us a valuable lesson there are two sides to our service of G-d. One seems to be full of Light like prayer and service. But there is a second side removing evil. And while not as easy or desirable is just as important and must we must also use our best resources to fight it.

The Lesson for us is clear. we must strive on both sides of the coin removing evil and doing good and only then can we trully walk in G-ds path as His children.

This weeks Thouhgt is dedicated Rabbi and Mrs Susmans on the birth of a son. May hashem bless you with nothing but simcha and nachas and may he grow to Meilah Chupah and Masim Tovim

This weeks Parshah is Vayikra. the Parshah gets its name from Hashem calling out to Moshe. the term Vayikra means to call out. Yet why would this word be the name not only of a Parshah but of an entire Sefer of Torah. What is the incredible lesson that can be learned from this simple word?

When Moshe was told to write the word Vayikra he was hesitant. he thought the word Vayikra was immodest as it seems as if G-D went out of his way to reach Moshe. Moshe in his modesty made the last letter in the word small to try and minimize this event. Hashem however would not let this incident being forgotten. in fact he made it one of the most studied words in His Torah.

And Hashems message is simple. G-d loves each and every one of us and want a personal connection with us. He is even willing to actively pursue is and call out to us personally and by name. However he wont force it. We don’t need to chase him and we don’t need to search for him. we just need to stop running from him. We only need to step into his embrace.

May we soon see the day when the world realize what has been true all along that Hashem is the one true G-d and everything is Him with the coming of Moshiach.

This Weeks thought is dedicated to my Grandparents for the example they have set for me and all of my family. May we soon see the day when we are all reunited in Eretz Yisroel with Moshiach. Amen

This Weeks Parshah is Pekudei. This week we end the narrative concerning the building of the Tabernacle and as we do we reach an astounding Question. The building of consist of thirteen chapters. That is more then the stories of Creation and the Exodus combined. So why is such emphasis put on this one commandment?

To answer this we must first understand the best we can why the Almighty created a world and why He took us from Egypt and choose us as a nation. The reason Hashem gave us the Torah and all of his 613 Mitzvoth. Hashem wanted a physical resting place in this world.

The mitzvahs concerning morality are to make us a people deserving of G-ds presence. The commandments we can’t understand are to show our love for Him and our desire to cling to Him. All of the Mitzvahs and indeed the very creation of the world were for the moment described in our Parshah.

Now unfortunately Hashem’s presence does not dwell among us as it once did. And so our Parshah teaches us that our every thought word and actions should be to rebuild His dwelling place, not with sticks and stones but by making this world a place where G-ds presence can call home.

May we soon see the day when Hashem’s presence is again found clearly among us and His physical dwelling place stands once again the building of the third and everlasting Temple and the coming of Moshiach.

This week’s thought is Dedicated to my Brother Shmully and his wife. May G-d Almighty bless them with tremendous success in the future endeavors and may we all be joined as one family very soon with the coming of Moshiach.

This weeks Parshah is Vayakel. In the Parshah Hashem gives us an incredible opportunity. A way to separate ourselves from the lowly toil of this work and for a day become holy, closer to Him. This commandment is Shabbos. The lesson of Shabbos is taught three places in the Torah and each one brings us a deeper understanding of the day. After understanding these we can truly appreciate what this Mitzvah is.

This first place is in the Ten Commandments. “Six days shall you work and accomplish all your work.” There are many lessons in this. Firstly that part of the rest of Shabbos is that you must work i.e. accomplish something positive during the week. Being in a constant state of rest in not elevating but on the contrary is totally apposed to a Jewish way of life. There is a second lesson as well. G-d promises that if you follow these laws the loss of work will not be a detriment but a positive. In these six days you will accomplish. When you give this seventh day to G-d he gives you strength to put into your other sixth day.

The second place is in our Parshah. “Six days work may be done, but the seventh day shall be holy to you, a day of complete rest for Hashem.” When you keep the Shabbos holy for yourself the Almighty Himself joins you in this day of rest. This incredible promise of connection allows us to turn even our work days into days of godly work and allows our spirits to have a weekly realignment better then any new age treatment.

The third place this commandment is giving is in the review of the Ten Commandments. There however the wording is different. After recounting both aspects mentioned earlier and another aspect is given. Hashem instructs us to include our entire household community and assets in the Shabbos and reminds us of our bond of slave and redeemer dating back to Egypt. He teaches that if we all keep the Shabbos this dynamic will repeat it self again on both a personal level with relief from your troubles be it financial, physical or spiritual, and as a nation with the coming of Moshiach and the Final Redemption.

I wish you all a good Shabbos and I invite all of you to improve in your keeping of this day. Those of you who do not yet observe this mitzvah I invite you to join your people and enjoy the windfall immediate, and eventual, physical, and spiritual. And for those of you who keep and guard the Shabbos already I urge you to increase in your observance in someway be it in prayer, spirit, or by incurring someone else to join you. And may we all join together to celebrate Shabbos together this week in Yerushlayim with Moshiach.

This week’s thought is dedicated in Honor of Tzvi Kriegsman and his Ayshes Chayal. May he have many more happy and healthy years and may he be blessed with children as incredible as him and may his home continue to be a place where to spirit of Shabbos constantly dwells until the day when Shabbos reigns eternal. Amen, Good Shabbos.
