This weeks Parshah is Emor. In this week’s Parshah we discuss the Kohen going out among the people inspiring and teaching them. However the Kohen is warned when you go out among the people do not become unpurified. But how can a Kohen who job is setting Jews on the right path and keeping them from sin become impure on the job?
The Kohen is given a very difficult job. The Kohen must set out to chastise his brother who is sinning and correct him setting him on the proper path. But the Torah is warning him of the delicate line he walks. Speak to a man with love as a servant of Hashem and there is nothing you cannot accomplish. But speak to him and condemn him as beneath you and it is you who become impure.
The lesson is timeless for all Jews in all stations of life. When you see you fellow who is not on the proper path it is your duty to do whatever you can to help him. However make sure when you set out make sure you are coming from a place of love, acceptance and desire to help your friend. Otherwise you have no chance of helping and are only joining him on his path.
May we soon see the day where The Holy One Blessed Be He walks through his land and sets on the right path because of his love fore us with the coming of Moshiach. Amen
This weeks Thought is Dedicated to the the Soldiers we do whatever needs to be done to allows other to live in freedom. May Hashem Bless them all bring them all home safe and continue to rain his vengeance upon the evil of the world. Amen
