This weeks Parshah is Vayikra. the Parshah gets its name from Hashem calling out to Moshe. the term Vayikra means to call out. Yet why would this word be the name not only of a Parshah but of an entire Sefer of Torah. What is the incredible lesson that can be learned from this simple word?
When Moshe was told to write the word Vayikra he was hesitant. he thought the word Vayikra was immodest as it seems as if G-D went out of his way to reach Moshe. Moshe in his modesty made the last letter in the word small to try and minimize this event. Hashem however would not let this incident being forgotten. in fact he made it one of the most studied words in His Torah.
And Hashems message is simple. G-d loves each and every one of us and want a personal connection with us. He is even willing to actively pursue is and call out to us personally and by name. However he wont force it. We don’t need to chase him and we don’t need to search for him. we just need to stop running from him. We only need to step into his embrace.
May we soon see the day when the world realize what has been true all along that Hashem is the one true G-d and everything is Him with the coming of Moshiach.
This Weeks thought is dedicated to my Grandparents for the example they have set for me and all of my family. May we soon see the day when we are all reunited in Eretz Yisroel with Moshiach. Amen
